Inclusions The requirements in this standard apply to polyphase induction motors intended for use in power generating stations, including the following: a) Frame size larger than NEMA 440 series b) Squirrel-cage type c) Single speed or multispeed d) Horizontal or vertical construction e) Form wound Exclusions Excluded from the scope of this standard are: a) Additional specific features that may be required for application in nuclear power generating stations b) Additional specific features required in motors for use in hazardous (classified) locations c) Starting motors for reversible synchronous generator/motor units for pumped storage installations d) Wound-rotor motors
